NUMBERS WITH MULTIPLE ENTRIES
All too often the same part numbers appear
with different vendors or in different line codes. Let's use part number
35-101 as an example and observe how direct link functions.
Refer to FIG 5,
the NEW ORDER screen. Key in the part number... 35-101, click on
Check Inventory and the
following screen will appear. See FIG 24 below.
You can see that multiple choices are displayed. There
may be more choices depending on the part number that
you key in the NEW ORDER screen. Now you need to know what you are looking
for and place a check for the
corresponding part in the SELECT column. You can enter quantity at this
time if you wish or wait until the next screen.
Click on Check Inventory and it will now bring you back to familiar
territory.... the SEARCH RESULTS screen
