UNIT APPLICATION LOOK-UP
This is one of the coolest sections of the
Direct Link program! It is exactly what it says...you can
lookup units by make, model, year and engine size. An extremely useful and valuable tool and
FREE OF CHARGE!!
Insure that your browser and any firewalls are set to allow pop-ups or this feature will not be accessible!
Refer to FIG 5 which is the NEW ORDER page. Under the NEW ORDER line, you will see a box
designated as UNIT APPLICATION LOOKUP. Click here and you should have a separate window pop-up
with a screen looking like FIG 11 below.
If your screen looks like this below, then you need to configure your browser/firewall to allow pop-ups.
Referring back to FIG 11, you have the option of either entering the Lester number for the unit
if known in the SEARCH field
or click on the SEARCH BY APPLICATION button.
For our example we will search for an alternator for a 1980 Chevy Camaro with a 5.7L engine. Click on the
SEARCH BY APPLICATION button and FIG 12 will show.
