COMPONENT BREAKDOWN
One of the most useful tools and most
definitely asked about is the component breakdown.
Easily accessible in
Direct Link you will find it an indispensable tool used in your everyday
business.
To access component breakdowns,
Refer to FIG 5 which is the NEW ORDER
page.
Enter your unit/part number in the Part No. field. In
this example we will use 36-7127, Now put a
check in the little box by Display Components and then click Check
Inventory. FIG 22 should
now be displayed.
Notice line code, unit part number and unit description
occupy the first 3 columns just as identifying features. The
component breakdown list starts on the next column with line code, part number
and description. Select the
the components you are inquiring about by place a checkmark in the corresponding
"Select Component" column.
For this example select the first 3 items and click on the "Check Inventory"
box.
This directs you to the INVENTORY SEARCH RESULTS
screen, see FIG 6 below, from which you can select
quantity, check price and availability. Look familiar?
